Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms for cancellations, refunds, and changes to bookings made through Vacation Stay Rentals — a marketing and technology platform connecting independent property owners (“Vendors”) with guests. By completing a reservation, you agree to the terms stated below. Please note that cancellation and refund conditions may vary by Vendor and property. Always review the specific policy of each listing before booking.

Cancellation Policy

Standard Cancellations

  • Cancellations made within the allowed cancellation period may be eligible for a partial or full refund, depending on the timing of the request.
  • Cancellations outside the allowed period may not be eligible for a refund.
  • The specific cancellation window is determined by each Vendor and will be displayed on the property listing.

How to Cancel

  • To cancel a booking, contact us at info@vacationstayrentals.com with your booking reference number.
  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
  • Verbal cancellations are not accepted.

Refund Policy

Eligible Refunds

  • Full refund: Cancellation made more than 7 days before check-in date (unless otherwise specified by the Vendor).
  • Partial refund: Cancellation made between 3 and 7 days before check-in date — 50% of the booking amount may be refunded.
  • No refund: Cancellation made less than 3 days before check-in date or in case of no-show.

Platform Service Fee

The platform service fee charged by Vacation Stay Rentals is non-refundable in all cases, as it covers marketing and administrative services already rendered at the time of booking.

Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of bookin

  • Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

  • Modifications to Bookings

    • Requests to modify booking dates or details must be submitted at least 48 hours before check-in.
    • Modifications are subject to availability and Vendor approval.
    • Vacation Stay Rentals does not guarantee that modification requests will be accommodated.

    No-Show Policy

    • If a guest fails to arrive on the check-in date without prior cancellation notice, the booking will be considered a no-show.
    • No-shows are not eligible for a refund.

    Force Majeure

    In extraordinary circumstances beyond the control of either party (such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or pandemics), Vacation Stay Rentals will work with Vendors and guests to find fair solutions. However, we cannot guarantee refunds in all force majeure situations, as these are ultimately governed by each Vendor’s policies.


    Vendor Responsibility

    Vacation Stay Rentals acts solely as a marketing platform. The ultimate responsibility for honoring cancellations and refunds rests with the individual Vendor. In the event of a dispute between a guest and a Vendor, Vacation Stay Rentals will make reasonable efforts to mediate, but cannot be held liable for refunds owed by Vendors.
